This open competitive advertisement is for a Career Service position located at various correctional institutions in the Maintenance Department statewide. The Florida Department of Corrections Facilities Management and Building Construction aims to provide a safe, secure, and efficient environment for staff, inmates, and visitors through the management, maintenance, and construction of correctional facilities in compliance with regulatory standards.
This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.

Background Screening Requirement
The Florida Department of Corrections requires all job applicants and volunteers to pass a Level 2 background check as per Chapter 435, Florida Statutes. This check must be completed before they can start working or volunteering.
