Salary : Purpose -

The Asphalt Plant Operator is responsible for safely operating and maintaining the asphalt plant.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the asphalt plant and its components to ensure optimal performance.
• Ensure proper calibration and settings for desired asphalt mix specifications.
• Inspect and maintain equipment, performing routine maintenance and reporting issues promptly.
• Monitor inventory levels of raw materials (aggregates, bitumen, etc.) and coordinate timely resupply.
• Record production data, equipment logs, and maintenance activities.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies.
• Operations of plant startup, shutdown, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Collaborate with truck drivers and paving crews to ensure efficient material delivery and usage.
• Conduct quality control checks and communicate any product or process adjustments needed.
• Maintain good customer relations with customers on an ongoing basis.
• Must have the initiative, ability, and willingness to perform and assist with other job positions for job completion as requested.
• Work may be performed in an environment with exposure to extremely hot materials, fuel, fumes, vapors, dust, grease and oils, as well as loud and / or constant noise and exposure to moving equipment.
