Boeing Global Services Engineering is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to become part of the Optimized Maintenance Programs (OMP) Engineering Team at our Seattle, WA location. The OMP Team offers customer-unique optimized maintenance solutions providing great value to global commercial, Business, Government, and military customers. We provide the best maintenance intervals based on customer historical fleet data and utilization. Boeing's maintenance program engineering knowledge, data analysis methodology, and design certification expertise are utilized to deliver a custom program optimized for each airline customer’s maintenance operation. Build on your career by joining a multi-disciplined team of engineers and analyst, operating in an agile environment, working with customers and airworthiness regulators from around the world, supporting sales engagements, developing custom maintenance offerings, growing the Boeing business, and bringing value to our customers Position Responsibilities : Execute Optimized Maintenance Program (OMP) revenue contracts by using technical, engineering, and aviation knowledge. Includes global commercial and military aircraft operators. Utilize Boeing Program Management Best Practices. Interface with management and Customers. Maintain technical currency with Boeing Fleet Scheduled Maintenance Programs and maintenance industry policy groups. Maintain technical currency with Boeing Design and Certification programs, ensuring Safety and Quality of OMP products and support of customer regulatory approvals. Participate in discussions with Customers and Regulators supporting OMP regulatory approval. Provide constructive technical input on OMP products; respective of quality and growth of product offerings. Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. Evaluates customer / operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and / or system architecture. Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success. Develops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes. Resolves cross-functional technical issues. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience) : Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science 5 years of aviation engineering experience 4 years of experience working in aircraft maintenance programs and / or airline engineering Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience) : 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (Senior Level) 6 years of experience with airline maintenance programs and practices 1 years of experience with statistical analysis as well as data analytics techniques for large data sets Experience in communicating / technical discussions directly with Customer and / or regulators Experience in other aviation areas such as ALIT, Post production Engineering, R&M, Service Engineering, ASE, FSR Knowledge of MSG-3 and Boeing SASMO tools Drug Free Workplace : Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.
