Job Title : R&D Associate I - Pilot Plant operator

Duration : 11+ Months contract

Location : 1 Campbell Place Camden New Jersey USA 08103 (Onsite)

Schedule : Monday Friday, 7 : 00 AM 3 : 30 PM with Opportunity for overtime

Job Description : Job Summary

Plans, organizes, and conducts research in scientific, cultural, historical, or artistic field for use in own work or in project of sponsoring institution : Develops plans for project or studies guidelines for project prepared by professional staff member to outline research procedures to be followed.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Plans schedule according to variety of methods to be used, availability and quantity of resources, and number of subordinate personnel assigned to participate in project.
  • Conducts research, utilizing institution library, archives, and collections, and other sources of information, to collect, record, analyze, and evaluate facts.
  • Discusses findings with other personnel to evaluate validity of findings.
  • Prepares reports of completed projects for publication in technical journals, for presentation to agency requesting project, or for use in further applied or theoretical research activities.
  • Contribute to technical feasibility analysis of complex research and design concepts.
  • Monitor budgets and / or activity schedules of limited scope.
  • In addition to having an in-depth knowledge and understanding of GxP and related regulations and guidance, is able to provide expert insights into such regulations so as to facilitate efficient product registration and / or is an active participant in the generation, review, adoption and interpretation of such regulations.
  • Demonstrate ability to apply technical theories and principles to projects within area of expertise for non-routine tasks. Analyze and determine best solutions to non-routine experimental design or research problems with minimal assistance. Accurately assess results for validity and conformance to specifications.

  • Pilot Plant Operator Role

    The Pilot Plant Operator, under general supervision, is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Pilot Plant machinery. Responsibilities include a wide variety of assignments as scheduled by immediate supervisor including but not limited to ingredient and component preparation, blending, filling and closing, cooking, packaging, and any other duties as assigned.

    Essential Job Duties

  • Operates pilot plant equipment to produce product within guidelines established by Quality Assurance and to the highest possible standard of quality.
  • Operates, shuts down, cleans, and sanitizes equipment in the pilot plant in accordance with established procedures and follows sanitation procedures specific to chemical handling.
  • Performs and records operational, quality, and CIP checks to ensure food safety and quality expectations are met.
  • Communicates and / or escalates quality or safety issues.
