Overview

Under the direction of the Department Chief, Nurse Leader or designee, this registered professional nurse provides practice support to a clinical team, recognizing the patient as the central focus, providing age?appropriate nursing care to patients across the lifespan. This position is responsible for effective care delivery and management of patient care within a specialty, utilizing the nursing process and adhering to current standards of nursing practice. Communicates and coordinates effectively with all entities involved in the care of the patient to promote safe, high?quality care. Makes decisions reflecting critical thinking and evidence?based nursing practice.

Education & Licensure

• Graduate of a State?approved school of nursing; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current license to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience preferred.
• Experience working with an electronic medical records system required.

• Strong critical thinking, problem solving, interpersonal and patient interviewing skills.
• Highly motivated, self?directed; able to prioritize and multitask in a rapidly changing environment.
• Ability to interpret clinical information, assess treatment implications and develop a plan of care.
• Demonstrated excellence in practice, documentation and cost?effective care utilization.
• High patient satisfaction and strong teamwork.

Compensation

The hourly range for this role is $38.66 to $71.87 per hour based on full?time employment. Pay is based on several factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. Atrius Health complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.

Primary Location: Boston MA - Kenmore

Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday; varied hours
