Education Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, CPA , or related field preferred or equivalent work experience.

The Account / Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll for employees across Washington State, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role requires certified payroll experience and a high level of accuracy, discretion, and the ability to manage sensitive information with integrity. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and prompt vendor payments, as well as maintaining organized and compliant project and financial records. The position will work closely with project managers and leadership to track job costs, prepare financial reports, and support budgeting and forecasting efforts, ensuring the company’s financial operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Process weekly, biweekly, or semi-monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employees.Manage certified payroll reporting in accordance with federal, state, and local prevailing wage requirements (e.g., Davis-Bacon Act).Prepare and submit certified payroll reports (e.g., WH-347) and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and contracts.Review and audit timecards, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, deductions, and direct deposit information.Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and compliance with wage and hour laws.Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve discrepancies.Coordinate with HR and Finance to reconcile payroll-related accounts and provide reporting as needed.Support audits and provide payroll documentation when required.Stay current with payroll laws, prevailing wage regulations, and best practices.Document management.Preparing financial reports, presentations, and board-level materials.Maintain organized records of all invoices, receipts, and correspondence.Oversee and manage AR & AP processes, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and vendor payments.Prepare, review, and maintain accurate financial records and documentation for all projects.Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy in the general ledger.Track job costs, budgets, and forecasts to support project managers and leadershipDevelop and maintain financial reporting for management review.Collaborate with project teams to ensure proper documentation and billing compliance.Assist in preparing year-end and audit documentation.Identify process improvements for efficiency and compliance.
