Newscast Producer Job at Sinclair Broadcast Group in Charleston

WCHS / WVAH has an immediate opening for an energetic, creative, and smart Newscast Producer . We are looking for someone who loves coming to work each day with great energy to create unpredictable, fast-paced, content-focused newscasts. You must be a strong communicator who can work closely with Managers, Anchors, Reporters, Directors, and our Assignment Desk.

Producers must understand the value of a gather-publish news strategy across all relevant platforms. You will work closely with our digital team, utilizing social media in newsgathering and engaging with viewers during newscasts. Flexibility and on-the-spot problem-solving abilities are essential.

• Compelling and accurate writing skills
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively to produce an exciting and informative newscast
• Attention to detail

• Ability to execute news strategies and goals in daily newscasts
• Flexibility and on-the-spot problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency with non-linear editing (e.g., Avid) and newsroom systems such as iNews
