Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Remote Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Manager to oversee and optimize our billing, collections, and overall revenue cycle operations. The RCM Manager will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely claim submissions, monitoring reimbursements, identifying opportunities to reduce denials, and maintaining compliance with all payer and regulatory requirements. This role requires strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills to collaborate effectively with providers, billing staff, and leadership teams.

Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Oversee end-to-end revenue cycle operations, including charge capture, coding, billing, claims processing, collections, and payment posting.
  • Ensure compliance with payer requirements, healthcare regulations, and internal policies.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as denial rates, days in accounts receivable (AR), and collection effectiveness.
  • Lead and mentor RCM staff, providing training, feedback, and performance evaluations.
  • Work closely with providers and clinical teams to ensure accurate documentation and coding for maximum reimbursement.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline revenue cycle workflows.
  • Collaborate with finance leadership on forecasting, reporting, and resolving revenue cycle challenges.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, clearinghouses, and payers as needed.
  • Prepare and present regular revenue cycle performance reports to leadership.
  • Stay current with changes in healthcare reimbursement, payer policies, and compliance requirements.

Required Skills / Abilities :

  • Strong knowledge of medical billing, coding, and payer reimbursement processes.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in revenue cycle software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff, providers, payers, and leadership.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field (required).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in revenue cycle management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Experience in healthcare settings such as physician groups, Skilled Nursing Facilities, or other post-acute care preferred.
  • Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) or similar credential is a plus.
