Accounting Specialist

Location : Grand Prairie, TX

Pay Rate : $30 / hour

Schedule : Monday-Friday | 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM | Onsite

Overview :

We're seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our client's Finance team in a manufacturing environment. This role works closely with the Controller, Assistant Controller, and Cost Accountant to ensure accurate financial analysis, reporting, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities :

Process weekly payroll and manage all related reporting, reconciliation, and follow-up tasks

Prepare and post month-end journal entries; reconcile and analyze assigned general ledger accounts

Assist with cost accounting activities and special projects

Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions

Cross-train in other accounting areas to provide team coverage as needed

Assist with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) audit requirements and documentation

Perform other administrative and accounting-related duties as assigned

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (required)

Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience

Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills

Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet strict deadlines

Flexible and dependable in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications :

Master's degree in Accounting or related field

Experience with Kronos Payroll, Coupa, SAP, or AS400

Previous experience in a manufacturing setting

Top 3 Must-Haves :

Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills

Ability to maintain and enforce strict processes to meet regulatory demands

Capability to prioritize and multitask while meeting reporting deadlines

Technical Skills :

Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency

SAP and Kronos experience (preferred)

Pay Details : $30.00 to $32.00 per hour
