CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS

\n \n

  • Must have an active and unrestricted Arizona RN license or Compact State license \n
  • American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification \n
  • AHA ACLS certification \n
  • AHA PALS or ENPC certification \n
  • TNCC certification \n
  • Conscious Sedation Certification (Obtain through facility after confirmation; fee is $105)\n

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    \nJoin our dynamic Emergency Department team at Tsehootsooi Medical Center, a vital facility serving our community with comprehensive care. Our ED features an 11-bed main unit, a 6-bed fast track, and a 7-bed observation unit. As an ER nurse, you'll be expected to rotate through these areas regularly, providing versatile and thorough patient care. You'll also be assigned to triage, quick registration, COVID testing / tent, and entry screening stations, ensuring readiness across all functions of emergency care. Flexibility is key, as shifts may include nights, weekends, and holidays, with the potential for unexpected shift changes based on staffing needs.

    Travelers may occasionally float to other departments for which they are qualified, including patient load responsibilities or task-oriented duties such as answering call lights and managing phones. You will have the opportunity to contribute positively to patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment that values adaptability and teamwork.

    SHIFT DETAILS

  • 12-hour Night Shift (7 PM - 7 AM)\n
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate other shifts, holidays, and weekends\n
  • Typical schedule : 7 days on, 7 days off, with varying hours (36 or 48 per week)\n
  • Shift may change during assignment based on facility needs\n
  • Occasional floating to other departments for qualified staff\n
  • \n

    HOSPITAL ORIENTATION

    \n \n

  • Orientation held exclusively on Mondays\n
  • Failure to meet compliance deadlines may result in orientation being rescheduled to the following Monday\n
  • \n\n

    WHAT YOU BRING

    \n \n

  • Minimum of 2 years recent RN experience in emergency or critical care settings; more experience may be required for some positions \n
  • Proven ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments\n
  • Flexibility to rotate through different ED areas and perform various tasks as needed\n
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills\n
  • Ability to adapt to shift changes and float to other departments when required\n
  • \n

    Preferred Education & Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree preferred\n
  • Prior experience in trauma or emergency nursing highly desirable\n
  • Experience working in a hospital environment with diverse patient populations\n
