Summary of job responsibilities : Supports IATF / TS16949 quality system requirements; assists with quality system maintenance as needed, root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action, continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, obtains and / or creates boundary samples, customer PPAP's, handles internal and external quality complaints, interfacing with customers, production, and management, assists with training to build quality awareness, assists with transfer of new products to Production in accordance with approved data, interacts with the Quality auditors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system, conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determine proper corrective / preventive actions, creates and maintains company quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, work instructions, reports, etc. may travel to customer sites on occasion.

Qualifications include e xperience in Quality Engineering in automotive plastic injection molding environment preferred, understanding of IATF / TS16949 quality systems and processes to ensure company and customer standards are met is a plus, strong verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in Microsoft applications, ability to respond to customer concerns, both internally and externally, knowledge of 8-D / ASQ Problem Solving methodology to improve product quality, CMM experience essential, knowledge of SPC, PPAP, DOE and continuous improvement desired, self-motivated, able to work with minimal direction.
