Responsibilities Work in the Med / Surg Float Pool covering all med-surg units including oncology, trauma, cardiac, neuro, observation, medical behavioral, and innovations Acute care hospital setting with Level 1 trauma designation Float between multiple campuses and med-surg specialty units in Fargo Patient ratios are 1 : 4-5 from 7am-11pm and 1 : 5-6 from 11pm-7am Unit sizes range from 24 to 47 beds depending on assignment Uses Epic EMR, Accudose Rx, Alaris IV pumps, and Philips vital sign machines 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend and holiday required Assign to units daily and may work in med-surg overflow or status areas within critical care units Perform head-to-toe assessments, medication administration, care planning, and management of wounds, lines, and drains Training includes one full shift on each primary campus and team or campus orientation during the first week Navy blue scrubs are required for all shifts All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility Holiday coverage required as assigned Requirements Active ND RN or compact state license required Minimum of 1 year recent Med / Surg experience in a large hospital with at least 200 beds BLS (AHA) certification required Epic experience required Prior float pool experience preferred Experience in Level 2 (or higher) trauma center required Must not reside within a 60-mile radius of the facility; reduced local travel rate applies for those within 60-80 miles Disclosure of any previous employment with the health system required; must have separated at least 6 months before consideration Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-633681.
