Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a High-Risk Labor & Delivery position requiring at least two years of recent L&D experience and current GA or compact licensure.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a high-risk Labor & Delivery and perinatal unit within a hospital setting
  • Care provided across L&D (12 beds), Postpartum / Antepartum (16 beds), and OBED (4 beds)
  • Nurse to patient ratio in L&D is 1 : 1-2 depending on acuity and 1 : 4-6 in Postpartum / Antepartum
  • Utilizes Epic EMR, Obix and Philips fetal monitors, Omnicell medication management, and a variety of specialized equipment including Medela Symphony pumps and JADA hemorrhage system
  • 12-hour shifts available : 7 : 00 am - 7 : 30 pm and 7 : 00 pm - 7 : 30 am; weekends are required
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Eligible RNs may train and float to the OBED based on experience
  • Responsible for monitoring maternal and fetal status, assisting with labor and delivery, and providing, as well as documenting, postpartum care
  • Collaborates with OB residents, attendings, and interdisciplinary team to ensure safe patient care
  • Completion of a three-day, preceptor-based orientation including computer modules and competency checklists
  • Must adhere to hospital dress code; OR scrubs provided on the unit
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply

  • Active RN license for the State of Georgia or a multi-state compact license required
  • Current certifications : BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate AWHONN Fetal Monitoring
  • Minimum two years of recent high-risk Labor & Delivery nursing experience
  • Competency with Epic EMR, fetal monitoring systems, and L&D-specific procedures
