Responsibilities Work in an 18 bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with a telemetry focus Night shift, 12-hour shifts, three shifts per week Floating may be required between departments or local locations within 20 miles Epic EMR experience preferred Direct patient care responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care Collaborate with the patient, family, and healthcare team to coordinate care Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document responses appropriately Provide clinical supervision for LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel Travelers are required to cover admission, learning, and discharge needs throughout patient episodes of care PCU RNs must adhere to a 50-mile radius rule; local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible Former permanent staff must wait one year before being reconsidered for a traveler position Immediate termination may occur upon failing the BCA test twice Basic arrhythmia testing is conducted during orientation on the first day Requirements Active NM or compact RN license required Two years of recent experience in a telemetry or progressive care unit with 18 beds Completion of at least one prior 13-week travel assignment required BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required, with BLS and ACLS from AHA, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross Must pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) assessment on site, with one opportunity to retest if necessary Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-620422.
