Overview

The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform connects AP Macroeconomics students with online tutors nationwide. As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you'll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students' learning journeys—from home.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring in AP Macroeconomics to students using the Live Learning Platform.
  • Set your own schedule and tutor as much as you'd like.
  • Use the platform features, including Tutor Copilot, to prepare and deliver engaging lessons.
  • Be matched with students aligned to your teaching style and expertise.
  • Invoice for tutoring sessions; Varsity Tutors handles payments.

What We Look For In a Tutor

  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
  • Expertise in AP Macroeconomics and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
  • Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
  • Priority given to those with tutoring or teaching experience and / or graduate-level education.

    • Compensation and Benefits

  • Base contract rates start at $18 / hour and increase for specialized subjects; pay can reach up to $40 / hour with the same student.
  • Get paid up to twice per week.

    • Please note : Varsity Tutors does not contract with tutors in : Alaska, California, Colorado, Delaware, Hawaii, Maine, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, or Puerto Rico.
