Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with an active CA license and certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position based in a hospital Operating Room setting
  • Circulating nurse responsibilities with on-call as needed
  • Day shift schedule with 5x8 hour shifts, 6 : 45 to 15 : 15
  • Every other weekend required
  • Assignment duration is 13 weeks
  • Use of Epic charting system is preferred
  • Requires flexibility to respond to on-call assignments
  • Responsibilities include assessment, coordination, and delivery of holistic care to surgical patients
  • Role involves patient and family education, care transitions, and interdisciplinary care planning
  • Collaborative team environment with support from other healthcare professionals
  • Must adhere to hospital policies, best practices, and industry standards
  • Orientation includes completion of e-learning modules; hours may vary by specialty
  • Only one holiday request for time off will be approved during the contract
  • Locals accepted at a different rate
  • Scrub or uniform information not specified; confirm dress code prior to start

  • Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
  • Current AHA certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
  • Minimum of 2 years recent OR RN experience required
  • Experience with Epic EMR preferred
  • Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of acceptance
  • Return travelers must have been gone at least 1 year
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel status
