Job description

Accounting Consultant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Consultant to support our clients with high-impact financial projects. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy solving complex accounting challenges across various industries.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Analyze and interpret financial data to support business decisions.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Implement or optimize accounting systems and processes.
  • Provide audit support and ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Train and mentor client accounting staff as needed.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a consulting or project-based role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar).
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements.
  • Must be based in or willing to commute to Louisville, KY.
