Job descriptionHillcrest Hospital South is a full-service 180-bed hospital providing a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services using state-of-the-art technology in a friendly community setting. Consistent performance has helped the hospital be nationally recognized for patient safety. Combine knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and the use of tools and technology to support the physician or CNM during labor and delivery. Set up surgical instruments and equipment and maintain sterility. Assist with preparing patients for the operating room or delivery. Pass instruments and other sterile supplies to surgeons and assist with holding retractors and other instruments. Maintain inventory in all delivery and operating rooms. Perform key clerical duties, including accurately entering patient orders, maintaining up-to-date delivery logs, and conducting daily patient census checks. Graduate of an accredited Certified Surgical Technology program Must be certified through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) Active BLS certificatio BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care. Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience as a Labor and Delivery Surgical Technologist
