Kerry, a global leader in taste and nutrition for the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to accelerate growth in North America's fermentation nutrients market.

This role is designed for a proactive, commercially sharp professional who thrives on identifying opportunities, driving sales, and delivering measurable business impact . You'll be engaging with customers, executing sales strategies, and expanding Kerry's presence in bio-ingredients like Yeast Extracts and Plant Peptones.

Role

Our fermentation nutrients—including Yeast Extracts and Plant Peptones —play a crucial role in multiple high-growth industries. This role is focused on driving sales and market expansion in five key target sectors

  • Probiotics – Supporting the development of live cultures for gut health and wellness.
  • Starter Cultures – Enabling fermentation in dairy, bakery, and other food applications.
  • Enzymes – Providing essential nutrients for enzyme production in bioprocessing applications.
  • Biocontrol – Facilitating biological alternatives for sustainable agriculture and crop protection.
  • Renewable Chemicals – Enhancing fermentation processes for environmentally friendly chemical production.

About The Role

As a proactive and commercially sharp professional , you will be instrumental in executing sales strategies, building strong customer partnerships, and expanding Kerry's presence in these critical market segments

  • Develop and strengthen customer relationships, engaging with industry leaders to align Kerry's solutions with their needs.
  • Convert opportunities into business success, managing an active pipeline and securing high-value partnerships.
  • Deliver impactful sales execution, negotiating agreements and ensuring seamless customer engagement.
  • Monitor market trends, anticipate customer needs, and refine sales approaches to maximize impact.
  • Collaborate for success : Work alongside Product Management, R&D, and Marketing to bring high-impact solutions to market.
  • Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Bioprocessing or Fermentation, with strong commercial acumen focused on execution.
  • Proactive and results-driven, with a sharp focus on delivering business growth.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, adept at engaging customers and stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of Yeast Extracts, Plant Peptones, and their applications.
  • Proven ability to drive sales growth through effective customer engagement.
  • Ability to translate market insights into meaningful business strategies that drive revenue.
  • Team-oriented and adaptable, working effectively across functions to develop solutions for the industry.

    The typical hiring range for this role is $123,000 - $213,000 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
