Job Title : Equipment Engineer – CRAN Hub (Field-Based)
Location : Fort Washington, PA (Initial remote / work from home until office completion in 2026)
Schedule : Hybrid – 3 days in office / 2 days remote
Engagement Type : Long-term contract
Target Experience Level : 7–10 years (flexible for highly qualified candidates with 3+ years of relevant CRAN experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Equipment Engineer with strong experience in CRAN Hub environments to support engineering and design activities for 4G / 5G network infrastructure. This is not a traditional Verizon equipment engineering role—rather, it focuses on CRAN Hub implementation, logistics coordination, and equipment lifecycle management . The position is field-based , and candidates must reside locally.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engineering and design support for all equipment used in CRAN Hub deployments.
- Manage and support equipment order logistics in coordination with the Equipment Engineering team.
- Create and process Material Requests and track equipment orders and inventory
- Forecast equipment needs based on project start dates and deployment schedules.
- Ensure proper tracking and accountability of all network components and expenditures.
- Prepare and manage purchase orders , coordinate with vendors, and ensure timely payment processing.
- Drive equipment procurement optimization to reduce costs and improve delivery timelines.
- Oversee equipment receipt, acceptance, and quality assurance processes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Maintain strong project management and communication skills to coordinate efforts across multiple teams.
Required Qualifications
CRAN Hub experience (non-negotiable).Strong understanding of 4G and 5G CRAN / RAN architectureKnowledge of Small Cell and DAS systemsFamiliarity with Samsung and / or Nokia equipment (e.g., vDUs, IXREs).Proven ability to manage logistics, forecasting, and vendor coordination in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Verizon tools such as CQ, ConQuest, Fuze, and SPMPrior experience in small cell and C-band deploymentsBackground in telecommunications network design and field implementationEducation / Certifications
Formal degree not required. Equivalent experience in telecommunications engineering, network deployment, or related technical disciplines will be considered.
