ABOUT THE ROLE

The Competitive Intelligence Analyst will play a key role in monitoring and analysing the biopharma landscape to provide actionable insights that inform strategic decisions. This role will track competitor pipelines, clinical / regulatory developments, and market trends, translating complex scientific and commercial information into clear, business-relevant analyses. The analyst will report to VP Head of Strategy and collaborate across R&D, Clinical Development, and Business Development teams to support portfolio strategy, opportunity assessments, and decision-makin g.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Track scientific, clinical, regulatory, and commercial developments within the biopharma sector
  • Build and maintain competitor profiles, including pipelines, strategic initiatives, partnerships, and market positioning
  • Monitor conference abstracts, publications, patents, press releases, and investor presentations for relevant intelligence
  • Prepare clear, actionable reports and presentations for executive leadershi p
  • Travel to cover major conferences / medical meetings up to ~20% of time

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education : Advanced degree (PhD preferred) with focus in biotechnology, engineering, or related discipline
  • Experience : ~1-4 years work experience in competitive intelligence, business strategy, management consulting, VC, or investment banking
  • Skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong data analysis and insight generation skills
  • Excellent ability to communicate complex scientific topics simply and effectively to an executive audience
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and intellectually flexible
