Job descriptionHigh school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field is a plus. Current Bachelor’s and Master’s students are encouraged to apply. Previous experience in a laboratory setting (preferably in a biotech, pharmaceutical, or academic environment) is preferred. Familiarity with laboratory equipment (e.g., autoclave, pipettes, pH meters) and standard lab protocols is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols accurately. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude 2-3 days per week / 15-20 hours per week
Job Summary : We are seeking a reliable part-time lab technician to support our laboratory operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work independently, ensuring that all equipment and materials are prepared and maintained for ongoing experiments.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare and maintain cell culture media and other laboratory reagents.
- Wash, sterilize, and organize laboratory glassware and equipment. Including operating an autoclave.
- Assemble and prepare necessary materials for bioreactors, including preparation of tubing and glassware.
- Maintain a clean and organized lab environment by performing routine lab chores such as cleaning counters, disposing of waste, and managing supplies.
- Assist with equipment and inventory management.
- Assist with other tasks as needed to ensure smooth operation of the lab, including preparation of solutions, buffers, and other reagents.
