The Associate Industrial Engineer supports Weatherby's continuous improvement and workflow optimization initiatives across manufacturing operations. This role contributes to lean implementation, layout design, time studies, tooling improvements, and process documentation. Partner with the Industrial Engineer to implement process improvement and lean initiatives.Conduct time studies, data collection, and workflow analysis to identify improvement opportunities.Assist with layout design, workstation setup, and visual management systems.Create or update process documentation, standard work instructions, and visual aids.Design and fabricate tooling and fixtures used in improvement and automation projects.Support tooling, fixture, and automation projects through testing and validation.Participate and lead Kaizen events, training, and cross-functional collaboration.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or technical environment.Knowledge of lean concepts, process flow, and manufacturing systems.Proficiency in SolidWorks, with demonstrated ability to support design and improvement projects.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and demonstrated ability to analyze data and make recommendations.Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Accountabilities and Measures
Deliver accurate and timely project data, analysis and completion of project tasks.Achieve objectives assigned by the Senior Industrial Engineer during performance coaching.Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Prolonged standing and ability to manipulate and assemble small parts.Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.Occasionally lift and / or move up to 56 pounds.Work Environment
