Emergency Medicine Job Details

Location : Tomball, TX 77375 (Houston metro area)

Healthcare Setting : Freestanding Emergency Department

Start Date : February 1, 2026

End Date : April 26, 2026

Contract Duration : 12 weeks

Employment Type : Locum tenens physician (travel contract)

Shift : 12-hour shifts (flexible scheduling)

Estimated Weekly Hours : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $5,780 - $6,850 per week

Open Positions : 6 Emergency Medicine Physicians

Emergency Medicine Physician Requirements

Active Texas Physician license (MD or DO)

Board certification in Emergency Medicine preferred; Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physicians with emergency care experience will be considered

Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in Emergency Medicine

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced emergency department

Current ACLS and BLS certifications required

Emergency Physician Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality emergency medical care to patients in a freestanding ED setting

Diagnose and treat a broad spectrum of acute medical conditions and injuries

Collaborate with nursing and clinical support staff to optimize patient flow

Accurately document patient encounters and medical records

Contribute to the successful launch and ongoing development of the new emergency care facility
