Assistant Program Director (Part-Time, Long-Term Opportunity)
Schedule : Tuesdays and Fridays, 9 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM
Contract Duration : Immediate start through December 23, 2025 , with potential extension
Scope of Role
The Assistant Program Director will provide supervision and oversight of case management services to ensure high-quality care for adults who have experienced homelessness and mental illness. In the absence of the Program Director, this role will also support overall program operations in coordination with the Regional Director.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise program staff providing case management and program services (individual and group).
- Audit and review consumer progress notes and service plans in coordination with clinical staff.
- Ensure all service plans meet agency standards and are person-centered and trauma informed.
- Maintain communication with external service agencies to coordinate client placements for treatment and program activities (including volunteer job placements).
- Assist the Director of Intake with scheduling and interviewing new tenants.
- Oversee the orientation and transition process for new tenants entering the program.
- Participate in crisis intervention and communicate updates to management, the agency, and relevant stakeholders as needed.
- Collaborate with Facilities Management to ensure apartment standards comply with OMH and HUD guidelines.
- Provide emergency and relief coverage as necessary.
- Represent the agency in community meetings and with partner organizations to strengthen service linkages.
- Conduct regular supervisory meetings with staff and maintain documentation.
- Serve as on-call support for emergencies on rare occasions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
