Must-Have :

• Previous charge experience preferred
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Travel experience required

Description :

Seeking an experienced ER Registered Nurse for night shifts.

Welcome first-time travelers with 2-3 years of experience in Progressive or Acute ER.

All hours worked over 48 hours in a 48-hour contract will be considered overtime.

One request for time off (RTO) per contract is allowed.

The role demands a diverse skill set to handle various patient diagnoses.

This includes medical-surgical cases, respiratory issues, GI / GU problems, cardiac cases, neuro cases, minor trauma, OB / GYN, and initial medical care for strokes and major trauma.

The nurse may also need to provide care for pediatric patients prior to transfer.

Unit details include managing chest tubes, thoracentesis, paracentesis, RSI, splinting, procedural sedation, and restraints.

Experience with central lines and ultrasound-guided IVs is crucial.

Special equipment utilized includes rapid infusers, lifepacks, and GE monitors.

Interdisciplinary support is available, including physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy.

The unit typically sees a daily census of 90 with a ratio of 5 patients per nurse.

Travelers are expected to float to similar units as needed based on facility requirements.

A brief orientation will be provided upon arrival.
