Senior Cybersecurity Director
This position is eligible for Zenith's hybrid work schedule, allowing for flexibility to work from home on select days. The selected candidate must report to the Woodland Hills, CA or Sarasota, FL office on a weekly basis.
Overview
As the Senior Cybersecurity Director, you will spearhead the design, planning, implementation, and performance management of our cybersecurity infrastructure. Your expertise will guide our team's technical direction, and you will serve as a mentor to cybersecurity professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and nurture a team of cybersecurity professionals in monitoring, detecting, and responding to threats.
- Direct security architecture initiatives across network security, data protection, identity, access management, and cloud computing.
- Design and execute security architecture that aligns with business needs.
- Ensure compliance with frameworks such as CIS, CCPA, HIPAA, and NYDFS.
- Document and implement security architecture policies, standards, and industry best practices.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of security controls and risk mitigation strategies.
- Stay current on cybersecurity trends and evaluate new technologies for consideration.
- Communicate security architecture decisions and strategies clearly and effectively.
- Manage responses to and resolutions of cybersecurity incidents.
- Lead the deployment of new technologies and features to fulfill lifecycle management and business needs.
- Maintain knowledge of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory changes.
- Act as a recognized technical expert and mentor to engineering teams regarding frameworks, tools, and technologies.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Education Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required.Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience is required.Qualifications
Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and the secure software development lifecycle.5+ years of experience managing a team of cybersecurity professionals.Experience supporting implementations in a hybrid cloud environment.Expertise in Systems (Windows or Linux) or Network engineering, including design and management.Experience with network security products, including Firewalls, WAF, Proxy, NAC, VPNs, and end-user device security.Experience in public cloud network security.Familiarity with network hardware.Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISA, and GSEC, are advantageous.The expected salary range for this position is $167,075.82 - $218,033.95. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. Qualifications may warrant placement in a different job level.
