CNC Lathe Operator / Programmer needed for a precision machine shop in Traverse City.

Experience with Mazak lathes and Mazatrol controllers required. Experience with Doosan lathes and Fanuc controllers is a plus. Swiss-type lathe experience also a plus. MasterCAM programming experience preferred.

Pay is based on experience and proven skill at $20.00 - $26.00 to start.

First and Second shifts available; typically Mon-Thur., 10-hour shifts, with overtime available on Fridays. Start times are flexible, if needed.

A qualified candidate will be able to machine components for first articles as well as production runs. The programmer / machinists will monitor quality by taking measurements, detecting malfunctions and troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming control while adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes and performing in-process inspections.

Qualifications

• Experience with MasterCAM and AutoDesk Fusion 360 a plus
• Set-up and operate CNC Lathe and / or CNC Mill
• Prefer 2 years experience as a machinist in a manufacturing environment.
