F-16 MTT Software Engineer
Trident Military Systems is seeking a Software Engineer to support Air National Guard (ANG) F-16 Mission Tactics Trainer (MTT) simulators in Mesa, AZ. The individual's primary responsibility will be to design, develop, document, test, and debug applications software and systems that support the F-16 MTT simulators, especially related to the F-16 MTT Operational Flight Program (OFP) and Center Display Unit (CDU). Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and / or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for F-16 MTT simulator software.
Compensation : $120K to $140K
Location : Mesa, AZ
Required Travel : 0 - 10%
What you will do
- Develop software using C, C#, or C++
- Develop software for VxWorks
- Implement and support APIs between internal and external system components
- Apply Agile Software Development Lifecycle methodologies and processes
- Utilize debugging and analysis tools
- Prepare and present findings and recommendations to organization leadership
- Other duties as assigned
What you must have
5+ years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8+ years relevant experience without a degree is acceptable.Effective written and oral communication skillsExcellent time management skillsExperience researching new technologies to help solve existing technical problems or shortfallsInformation Assurance Training (IAT) Level 2 Certification (ex. CompTIA Security+)Active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to upgrade to Special Access Program / Special Access Required (SAP / SAR).MUST BE A US CITIZEN.Preferred Requirements
Experience with distributed simulation software applications, scheduling tools and environment generator applications.Experience developing software that produces and consumes distributed simulation protocols (e.g., DIS, HLA)Experience developing real-time simulation software.Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Git Extensions.Experience in the DoD simulator community.Experience supporting SAP efforts.Physical Requirements
