Using excellent customer service and communications skills, your primary duties in this role include :
- Responsible for ensuring proper computer operation for end users.
- Includes documenting, prioritizing, troubleshooting and resolving help requests.
- Problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostic and help request tracking tools, communication using telephone, email, Instant Messaging, remote control, and personal interaction.
- Problem resolution may involve formal escalation to other technical resources.
- Manages Epic accounts, including creating new roles, granting EPIC system access.
- Manages IT asset inventory, including ensuring decommissioned equipment is removed.
- May maintain multiple telecom databases for accuracy, including master phone extension, call accounting, and 911 emergency databases.
- Ensuring proper computer operation may involve performing computer maintenance, troubleshooting printer issues, and administration tasks as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Salary :
Hiring range, based on experience and credentials : $27.52-$37.23 per hour.
Workdays : One position is located at the Gastroenterology East Clinic in Northeast Portland, and the other is at the Gastroenterology West Clinic in Southwest Portland. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 4 days, 10-hour shifts. Day off; T.B.D. (6 : 30 am-5 : 30 pm).
Qualifications that support success in this role are based on education, experience and values including :
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience or schooling is required. Prior IT experience in the medical industry is a plus!Experience with common computer hardware, Microsoft Office suite or similar business applications, Mac OSX, recent versions of Microsoft Windows, and Terminal Services.Ability to actively listen and assess technical problems with an analytical approach and work closely with technical teams to resolve problems.Excellent attendance, telephone / written communication skills, and customer service.Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.This description is intended to provide only basic guidelines for meeting job requirements.
