About The Position

Job Title : Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool RN

Profession : Registered Nurse

Specialty : Pediatric Critical Care

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day

Hours per Shift : 12 hours (07 : 00 - 19 : 30)

Experience : Minimum of 2 years in Pediatric ICU

License : South Carolina or Multi-State / Compact State RN License

Certifications : BLS, PALS (American Heart Association only)

Must-Have : Experience with ECMO, CRT

Description :

The Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool RN will work 3x12 hour shifts during the day.

The RN will be responsible for providing care across all pediatric units as needed.

The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1 : 2 / 1 : 3.

Every other weekend and holiday rotation is required as part of the role.

Experience in pediatric ICU is essential for this position.

First-time travelers are accepted if they have the requisite experience.

The RN will be required to float between units within their scope of practice.

The role includes caring for ventilated patients, managing central lines, and interpreting arterial blood gases.

Knowledge of pediatric dosage calculations is also essential.

The RN will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.

Travelers should be aware that during certain seasons, all employees may be assigned to emergency response roles.
