PCU Registered Nurse Job Details Location : Jackson, Tennessee (38301) - Tennessee nursing jobs Unit : A7 - Stepdown Cardiac / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Assignment Length : 13-week travel RN contract Start Date : November 3, 2025 End Date : February 2, 2026 Shift : 12-hour nights (18 : 45 - 07 : 15), 36 hours per week Estimated Weekly Pay : $1680 - $1800 per week Patient Ratio : 4-5 : 1 Setting : Cardiac / Progressive Care Telemetry (PCU / Stepdown) Orientation : 36 hours total (includes Epic EMR training if needed) Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license - Compact or Tennessee Minimum 1 year of recent PCU, Telemetry, or Stepdown RN experience required Epic EMR charting experience within the last 12 months preferred (Epic training included in orientation if needed) Certifications : AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (all required at submission) Proficient in cardiac telemetry, post-cath lab care, and stepdown patient management Ability to float to Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and ICU units as needed COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical / religious exemption for COVID-19 only) Must pass a fit test (no facial hair that interferes with mask seal) PCU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced PCU / Stepdown environment Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry; manage post-cath lab and stepdown patients Administer medications, manage IVs, and provide care for ventilated patients, central lines, and chest tubes Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams Document patient care using Epic electronic medical records (EMR) Float to other MS / Tele and ICU units as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability Participate in code and rapid response situations as needed Apply now to join our healthcare team in Jackson, Tennessee, and advance your travel nursing career in a top-rated PCU / Stepdown unit!
