Job descriptionRemote Work : Enjoy the convenience of working from home while making a significant impact. Competitive Compensation : Earn $300 per hour for your expertise and time. Exclusive Opportunity : You will be an integral part of conducting medical judgment appeals , helping to ensure the best outcomes for patients. Impactful Work : Contribute to improving healthcare services for government stakeholders and the general population. Licensure : Must be licensed in Florida (active, with no history of major disciplinary or legal actions). Experience : ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) experience is preferred. Direct Patient Care : Must be actively engaged in providing direct patient care. Board-Certified : Must have been board-certified in Psychiatry for at least 5 years . Work Arrangement : This is a 1099 (at-will) role for both parties.
Join Maximus as a Florida Workers' Compensation Expert Medical Advisor (FL WC EMA). This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide expert medical opinions, peer reviews, and expert testimony to resolve disputes in the Florida Workers' Compensation system.
Position Overview :
Program : Florida Workers' Compensation (FL WC EMR)
Role : Physicians act as Expert Medical Advisors (EMAs) to :
- Resolve disputes related to reimbursement, healthcare services, and physician treatment.
- Provide expert medical opinions, peer reviews, and testimony to Judges of Compensation Claims.
- Address disagreements between independent medical examiners or other healthcare providers.
