This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.
DMV's Information Systems Division (ISD) is seeking a motivated individual to serve as Senior Systems Analyst in the Settlement Unit of Back Office Services Group. The Systems Analyst will support DMV's Legacy applications needs through the maintenance and operations of Application Solution Design, Development & Implementation. The Information Technology (IT) Specialist I coordinates the alignment of team activities, development stacks, design methodologies and technical innovation toward the overall ISD strategies; develops solutions using new software technologies, components, frameworks under the guidance of a technical lead / architect; performs software product deployment and release management activities to ensure project milestones are met in accordance with project plans and develops and maintains software documentation for each phase of the SDLC; maintains awareness of emerging methodologies and best practices in application and system development, evolving industry trends, standards, concepts, and practices in compliance with DMV information security standards and practices; evaluates target platforms, technology stacks, development methodology and testability features of DMV systems; and suggests improvements / enhancements and innovative ideas for implementation.

Working Conditions
Part-time telework available. Telework requires California residency. This position offers hybrid telework opportunities; however, telework arrangements are subject to change at any time based on State & departmental operational needs. Employees may be required to report to the office as necessary.
This position works in an office setting, in a cubicle, which may include sitting for long periods of time, accessing a computer, and typing for long periods of time. DMV operates 24 / 7, so this position may be required to carry a work cell phone, work occasional evenings and / or weekends, or attend out of town classes or conferences.
