Description :

SpeechCom Inc is hiring a full-time special education teacher, with a moderate to severe services credential issued by CTC (California) , to serve a school district in Walnut, CA.

Rate of Pay : $55 - $62 per hour W2 (depending on experience)

Hours : 7 hours per day / 35 hours a week

Details :

Will serve a special day class; caseload includes students grades TK through 2nd
Will work with other service providers.

Requirements : Responsibilities :

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs

Meet the diverse learning styles and abilities of students

Develop individualized academic goals

Utilize learning technology and assistive devices to enhance student learning

Create a positive and inclusive environment for students

Use effective behavior management strategies to address challenging behaviors and promote positive social skills

Collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to ensure the success of each student

Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed

Experience :

Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field

Experience working with students with special needs in a classroom setting

Knowledge of learning disabilities, developmental delays, and other special education needs

Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies

Proficiency in lesson planning and curriculum development for diverse learners

Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, and students
