Position Overview

Mercy Health Defiance Orthopedics is seeking a highly skilled and board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon to join our outpatient practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional orthopedic care with a focus on high-quality, patient-centered service. This role involves a mix of office visits, procedures, surgical days, and providing consultations and call coverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care : Conduct office visits, perform orthopedic procedures (e.g., injections), and offer consultative services.
• Surgical Duties : Perform shoulder, knee, and ankle surgeries, including robotic-assisted procedures.
• Consultations & Call Coverage : Participate in call coverage and consultations with the Toledo group at St. Anne, St. Charles, and Perrysburg.
• Collaboration : Work closely with LPNs, RNs, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Typical Day & Work Hours

A typical day includes a combination of office visits, procedures (such as injections), and consultative services, with designated days for surgeries. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM; 1-2 surgical days per week, with the remaining days in-office. There are 10 call days per month.
