Duties :

• Monitor suspicious behavior patterns and activities of vessels, vehicles or persons engaged in illicit activities.
• Conduct searches for contraband or weapons incidental to detention or arrest.
• Analyze and collect strategic and tactical intelligence to support operations.

Responsibilities :

As a Marine Interdiction Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting marine-based law enforcement operations to detect, prevent, intercept, and apprehend terrorists, terrorist weapons, and other contraband and persons attempting to enter the United States illegally.

This position offers a grade level progression from GS-11 to GS-13. You may be eligible for automatic promotions after completing 52-weeks at each grade level with supervisor approval and meeting any additional training, licensing, and certification requirements.

Age Requirement :

Candidates must be referred for selection before reaching their 40th birthday in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Directive 251-03.
