Position Overview :

Blooma is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Product Operations team, reporting directly to the Manager of Product Operations. This role is for a strong BI developer and analyst who excels at transforming complex data into actionable insights through sophisticated dashboards, reports, and automated monitoring systems.

As our Business Intelligence Analyst , you will be the technical architect behind our data visualization and reporting infrastructure. You will design and build critical dashboards from the ground up, create automated alert systems, and ensure stakeholders across the organization have the real-time insights they need to drive strategic decisions. Your work will directly influence product strategy, client success, and operational efficiency.

This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives on building elegant BI solutions, working with complex datasets, and translating business requirements into powerful visualizations. You'll have the autonomy to design our BI infrastructure while collaborating closely with product, engineering, and business teams.

General Tasks & Responsibilities :

Business Intelligence & Dashboard Development

  • Design, build, and maintain sophisticated BI dashboards with automated alerts and real-time monitoring systems from scratch.
  • Develop comprehensive reporting infrastructure that supports data-driven decision-making across product, sales, operations, and executive teams.
  • Create user-facing dashboards that provide intuitive, actionable insights for both internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Build automated monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand complex reporting needs and translate them into effective data visualizations and insights.
  • Optimize dashboard performance and ensure scalability as data volumes grow.

Product Analytics & Usage Insights

  • Conduct in-depth feature and account-level usage analysis to identify adoption patterns, monitor key accounts, and recommend strategic improvements.
  • Prepare comprehensive analyses for product releases, including adoption tracking, usage patterns, and impact assessments.
  • Monitor post-release metrics and provide actionable insights to product and engineering teams.
  • Manage product analytics platform (Pendo) including feature tagging validation and click tracking accuracy.
  • Data Operations & Quality

  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and integrations to support BI infrastructure.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across multiple systems and reporting layers.
  • Create and maintain Excel export templates and automated reports for internal and external use.
  • Manage API configurations and data structures as business needs evolve.
  • Strategic Analysis & Special Projects

  • Partner with leadership on ad hoc analyses related to business performance, product strategy, and operational efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement through data analysis.
  • Support underwriting automation initiatives and product enhancement projects with data-driven insights.
  • Required Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst, BI Developer, or similar role with demonstrated expertise in building dashboards and reports.
  • Expert proficiency in at least two BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Knowi, Looker, or similar) with proven ability to build complex dashboards, reports, and automated alerts from scratch.
  • Strong SQL skills with ability to write complex queries, joins, aggregations, and optimize query performance.
  • Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and building scalable reporting infrastructure.
  • Proficiency with Excel including VBA macros for automation and advanced data manipulation.
  • Experience with product analytics platforms (Pendo, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to identify patterns, trends, and insights from complex datasets.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality.
  • Proven track record of working independently and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to present technical findings to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Self-starter who proactively identifies opportunities and drives initiatives forward.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, technology-driven startup environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Preferred : background or familiarity with commercial real estate (CRE) lending, underwriting, or fintech.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with commercial real estate (CRE) lending, underwriting, or fintech.
  • Familiarity with API integrations and data pipeline development.
  • Experience with Python or R for data analysis and automation.
  • Background working in B2B SaaS or financial technology companies.
  • Compensation & Benefits :

  • Competitive salary range : $80,000 - $110,000 per year (based on experience and qualifications).
