Job Summary
Are you a visionary leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and builds trust-based relationships? Chartwells K12 is seeking a Director of Dining Services to oversee a portion of school dining operations within the South Bend Community School Corporation , which serves over 14,000 students across 29 schools and 6 offsite locations. Reporting to the Resident District Manager, you'll collaborate with a team of 27 salaried managers to mentor, train, and guide a dedicated workforce of 150 union associates. You'll lead daily operations in a mix of elementary and middle schools, managing up to 50 union associates and 1 supervisor, while partnering with school leaders, students, and staff to create a welcoming and impactful dining experience. This role emphasizes energy, clarity, and a student-first mindset.
You'll be a hands-on leader, ensuring compliance with USDA regulations while championing a culture of excellence, inclusion, and joy. The role focuses on nourishing students with wholesome, delicious meals served in a fun environment that celebrates community and fuels learning.
