Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Physical Therapy Assistant Discipline : Therapy Start Date : 12 / 01 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 45 hours per week Shift : 9 hours, days Employment Type : Local Contract Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Location : Islandia, NY 11749 Schedule & Hours : Full-Time (Guaranteed 45 hours / week) Tue–Fri : 9 : 00 AM – 6 : 30 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch) Saturdays : 8 : 00 AM – 3 : 30 PM Saturday Requirement : Work 3 Saturdays / month Expected Start Date : ASAP Guaranteed Hours : 45 hrs / week Position Summary We are hiring full-time Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) who are skilled, motivated, passionate, and eager to grow in a dynamic clinical environment. You will work one-on-one with clients, help them achieve meaningful and life-changing goals, and provide support to their families. Roles & Responsibilities Deliver individualized one-on-one care (sessions 1–3 hours) for children and adults with neurological or developmental challenges. Assist clients in improving mobility, function, and independence . Serve as a resource for families , educating and supporting them throughout the therapy journey. Document and track client progress accurately and efficiently. Participate in daily, weekly, quarterly, and yearly team meetings . Collaborate with therapists and staff to ensure high-quality, coordinated care . Contribute to client retention and referrals by delivering exceptional care. Engage in ongoing training, mentoring, and professional development to enhance clinical and communication skills. Skills Required Clinical & Technical Skills : Physical Therapy Assistant licensure Knowledge of neurological therapy, pediatric and adult neuro, intensive therapy programs Experience with home exercise programs Ability to assess, implement, and adjust therapy interventions Strong documentation and progress tracking abilities Interpersonal & Professional Skills : Active listening and effective communication Ability to educate and support families Teamwork and collaboration in a multidisciplinary environment Positive, energetic, and patient-centered approach Qualifications Required : Physical Therapy Assistant Licensure Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences Preferred (Nice to Have) : Pediatric neuro experience Adult neuro experience Experience with intensive therapy programs Family education and support experience Benefits Medical Benefit Options 401(k) Paid Time Off Loyalty Bonuses Fun, supportive, and collaborative work environment Continuous clinical and professional training Please submit your resume to ashutosh.kumar@medcadre.com or call (949) 404-4671.
