Provides clinical nursing expertise in areas of care practice consultation interdisciplinary collaboration and specialty program development for a defined patient population. Works with clinical team to facilitate quality patient care across the continuum. Develops and coordinates educational opportunities that promote professional nursing practice. Fulfills all the duties of the registered nurse profile

Other information :

• Associate Degree
• Minimum ADN preparation with expectation of BSN completion within 5 years of hire
• Degree from accredited academic nursing program (If a program is under conditional status approval may be granted by system CNO)
• State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License or Graduate Nurse Permit required Academic Preparation :
• Certified Lactation Counselor or International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
• Maintain Certification and CEs appropriate for a Lactation Counselor or IBCLC.
• Register with the NM Board of Nursing Lactation Care Providers.
• BLS ACLS PALS NRP
