Pay : $30.76 – $41.50 / hr (DOE)

Differentials : Nights +$4.75 / hr

• Weekends +$3.00 / hr
• National cert +$2.00 / hr

Schedule : Full-time

Sign-On : $10k Days

Relocation : Up to $5,000 with HR approval (case-by-case)

Openings : 7

Location : Bradenton, FL (Gulf Coast)

Job Description

Overview

Join a high-acuity Trauma Step-Down / PCU team at a large Gulf Coast hospital with Level II trauma services and award-winning specialties. You’ll care for complex post-trauma and progressive-care patients, build advanced telemetry and step-down skills, and have a defined cross-training path into ICU .

Responsibilities

Perform focused assessments; continuous monitoring with rapid recognition / escalation of status changes.

Administer meds and therapies safely; document responses and adverse events precisely.

Coordinate diagnostics / consults ; partner on throughput, discharge readiness, and readmission reduction .

Educate patients / families on disease processes, post-trauma expectations, meds, and follow-up.

Uphold safety bundles (falls, infection prevention) and crisp SBAR handoffs; contribute to unit PI.

Qualifications

Required

Active Florida RN (or compact; obtain active FL within 60 days if compact).

1+ year RN experience ( acute care required ).

AHA / ARC BLS at start; ACLS within 6 months .

ASN / ADN or Nursing Diploma (BSN preferred).

Able to meet role’s physical demands (frequent standing / bending; safe handling up to ~50 lbs).

Onsite interview mandatory.

Also Considered

LTACH, Home Health, or Rehab backgrounds with strong progressive-care readiness and acute transition skills.

Compensation & Incentives

Base : $30.76–$41.50 / hr (experience-based).

Differentials : Nights +$4.75 / hr ; Weekends +$3.00 / hr ; National certification +$2.00 / hr .

Sign-On : $10k Days

Relocation : Up to $5k with HR approval.
