Yard Jockey (Yard Spotter / Hostler)

About the Role : We're seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Yard Jockey to join our logistics team. In this role, you'll be responsible for operating specialized yard trucks to move semi-trailers within our facility's yard, ensuring smooth and efficient flow of trailers for loading, unloading, and storage.

This is a hands-on position ideal for someone with experience in trailer movement and a strong understanding of yard operations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Safely operate yard tractors to move trailers between dock doors, staging areas, and parking spots
• Perform routine yard checks and maintain accurate trailer inventory
• Inspect trailers for damage or maintenance needs
• Assist with docking and undocking trailers
• Fuel reefer trailers and clean trailers as needed
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts
• Communicate effectively with drivers and warehouse personnel
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment

Pay : $19-21 based off experience and interview

2 shifts available : You will be working 4 days on and 3 days off (Sun-Wed OR Wed-Sat)

1st shift : 4am-4pm

2nd shift : 4pm-4am

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00 / hr.
