This job provides supervision of staff and area functions as well as may serve as a physician liaison. This job performs various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Essential Responsibilities

• Performs all essential job responsibilities of a CT Technologist, including but not limited to performing age-specific diagnostic imaging per established protocols. Effectively communicates and interacts with patients, physicians and other team members. Addresses patient and physician concerns. Responds to adverse events and / or any changes with patient's status.
• Acts as a day-to-day mentor / resource for staff and others within the department. Orients and trains new staff and students. Performs and / or trains others relative to quality assurance activities, quality control, and regulatory testing and accreditation preparation / documentation.
• Participates in standardization activities and process improvement initiatives with system-level workgroups.
• Demonstrates proficiency in the performance of specialty exams and analyzes data promptly to resolve problems and improve efficiency. Enter new or edit existing CT scanner protocols.
• Coverage of chief tech duties as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
