The role oversees a team across all shifts (24/7) supporting multiple operating rooms plus all remote procedural areas where anesthesia services are requested. The manager ensures safe timely high-quality cost-effective technical support equipment readiness regulatory compliance staff competency recruitment/retention and excellent interdepartmental and interdisciplinary coordination./ph3Responsibilities/h3pEnsures that anesthesia equipment monitoring devices supplies carts and specialty tools are properly maintained calibrated quality controlled clean (or sterile/HLD as appropriate) and positioned for use in all settings (OR and remote/procedural areas). Coordinates preventative maintenance and repairs with Clinical Engineering and ensures redundancy/backups to minimize downtime and procedural delays./ppDevelops implements and monitors policies standard operating procedures/standard work safety protocols and regulatory compliance (e.g. infection control equipment safety accreditation) for anesthesia technical services. Oversees technician onboarding competency verification ongoing education and performance assessment programs to ensure all staff meet needed skills particularly in high-acuity specialty and remote procedural environments./ppDesigns staffing models that meet anesthesia technical needs 24/7 across ORs and remote areas considering case volume acuity specialty services (trauma transplant cardiac etc.). This position leads the recruitment efforts works to retain staff via career development recognition and workload balance to maintain a stable engaged workforce./ppDefines and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) such as equipment uptime response times case-delay rates supply costs staff utilization turnover etc. Uses data to identify inefficiencies or safety risks leads improvement initiatives root cause analyses and implements corrective actions to improve quality safety anesthesia provider support and cost outcomes./ppServes as liaison among anesthesia providers (MDs CRNAs) OR leadership procedural service leaders (endoscopy Radiology catheterization lab etc.) CE equipment support supply chain sterile processing facilities and hospital leadership. Ensures clear communication of policies protocol changes staffing or equipment impacts and collaborates to resolve cross-departmental issues that affect anesthesia technical service delivery./ppManages individual(s) including but not limited to: onboarding and hiring training workload management performance evaluations conducting professional development plans as needed. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership./ppDevelops and adheres to departmental staffing revenue and/or expense budgets.
