INPATIENT SERVICES COORDINATOR

The Inpatient Services Coordinator supports the daily operations, staffing, and education of the hospice inpatient units (IPUs) to ensure consistent, high-quality, patient-centered care. This position works closely with and reports to the Senior Director of Inpatient Services / Education and Assistant Director of IPU serving as a liaison between clinical staff, leadership, and the education department. The coordinator assists in managing staff, scheduling, education, and regulatory compliance.  Coordinator will actively fill in staffing and perform patient admissions for the inpatient units as needed to maintain continuity of care. This role fosters a collaborative and supportive environment that reflects the hospice mission and values.

Qualifications

• Education : Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred).
• Licensure : Current RN license in North Carolina.
• Hospice and Palliative Care Experience preferred.
• Skills : Strong organizational and scheduling skills; competence in clinical assessment and patient admissions; excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities; proficiency with EHR systems and scheduling software; knowledge of hospice regulations and quality standards.

Reports to : Chief Clinical Officer, Senior Director of Inpatient Services / Education and Assistant Director of Inpatient Services
