As a Customer Service Associate, you will welcome customers to Lowe's and help them find the right products and services for their home improvement needs. You will interact with customers throughout the day, help them find and select products, occasionally load merchandise, and ensure all customer needs are met.

While you will spend most of your time listening to customers, answering questions, and organizing merchandise, your daily responsibilities may vary by department. Customer Service Associates work in one of the following departments, based on hiring needs and skillsets : Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Inside Garden, Hardware, Tools, Millwork, Building Materials, Plumbing, Electrical, Paint, Home Dcor, Tool Rental, or Pro Services.

Key responsibilities include welcoming customers to Lowe's, answering questions, and delivering friendly and professional customer service. Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise, down stock merchandise, process orders and deliveries accurately, cross-functionally train in other areas of the store to help deliver the best customer service, prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs, guide customers through shopping or checkout, and complete other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications include 6 months experience using a computer, 6 months experience using common retail technology, reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic, and the ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties. Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation.

Preferred qualifications include 6 months of Retail and / or customer service experience, bi-lingual skills, and certification in trade related to department.

This role does not require regular travel; however, this role may need to travel occasionally to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores. Working conditions include exposure to varying climates, including extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions, possible exposure to constant or intermittent noises in addition to moving or shaking objects and equipment, and lifting methods varying based on role, weight, and volume.
