Director Travel Product Marketing

We are seeking a Director Travel Product Marketing of Product Marketing to lead the market research, segmentation, and product collaboration strategy for Complete T&E. This role will focus on identifying opportunities, shaping audience strategies, and ensuring alignment between SAP Concur and Amex GBT product teams. The leader will be instrumental in bringing the voice of the customer into product decisions and in defining the unique value proposition of this joint solution.
What you'll do
- Lead joint market research initiatives with Amex GBT to identify customer needs, industry trends, and competitive dynamics across the travel and expense ecosystem.
- Define segmentation, persona strategies, and ideal customer profiles for Complete T&E, ensuring precision in targeting and value communication.
- Collaborate closely with SAP Concur Product Management and Amex GBT's product teams to align roadmap priorities and solution packaging with market demand.
- Develop differentiated positioning and messaging frameworks for Complete T&E that highlight the combined value of SAP Concur and Amex GBT.
- Act as a key liaison with Amex GBT product and strategy teams, ensuring alignment of priorities, solution development, and market perspective.
- Track market adoption, pipeline growth, and win / loss trends to refine strategy and demonstrate impact.
- Represent SAP Concur in joint forums with Amex GBT, analysts, and industry stakeholders to establish thought leadership.
What you bring
10 years of experience in product marketing, solution marketing, or strategy roles in B2B SaaS or enterprise technology.Proven expertise in market research, segmentation, and transforming insights into product and marketing strategies.Experience working in or alongside travel management companies (TMCs) strongly preferred.Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to influence across Product, Sales, Marketing, and external partner organizations.Excellent communication skills, capable of representing joint solutions with clarity and authority at the executive level.Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.This role will have significant visibility and impact, driving the strategic success of Complete T&E by SAP Concur and Amex GBT
