Job description

Akkodis is seeking a Kafka Admin for a Contract with a client in New York, NY(Hybrid). The candidate will design and manage Kafka-based data pipelines while ensuring the performance, availability, and security of Kafka infrastructure.

Rate Range : $37 / hour to $49 / hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Kafka Admin job responsibilities include :

  • Design, develop, and manage Kafka-based data pipelines to support real-time and batch data processing across enterprise systems.
  • Monitor and optimize Kafka clusters for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot Kafka-related issues and provide third-level administrative support for infrastructure stability.
  • Create and manage Kafka topics, producers, and consumers, including Python-based implementations for seamless integration.
  • Ensure the availability, performance, and security of the Kafka infrastructure across environments.
  • Collaborate with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Storm to support broader data ecosystem requirements.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in DevOps or system administration, with at least 3 years focused on Kafka infrastructure and data pipeline management.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Kafka cluster setup, monitoring, and optimization, including topic and consumer / producer management.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot Kafka-related issues and support third-level administration across production environments.

    Pay Details : $37.00 to $49.00 per hour
