About Nimble

Nimble is a robotics and AI company inventing and scaling autonomous logistics with intelligent robots to enable fast, efficient, and sustainable commerce. We’re developing generalized robot intelligence and building general-purpose mobile manipulator robots, the first in the world capable of performing all core warehouse functions. We've recently closed a $106M Series C funding round at a $1 billion valuation and we're continuing to grow our all-star team.

Our mission is to empower and inspire mankind to accomplish legendary feats by inventing robots that liberate us from the menial.

Our long-term vision is to invent the Autonomous Supply Chain – everything from the inside of factories and warehouses to your front door – using next-gen intelligent robotics to deliver faster, more efficient, and more sustainable commerce.

We were founded from the AI labs at Stanford and Carnegie Mellon. We’re backed by the World’s most prestigious investors and Nimble’s Board of Directors includes AI and robotics legends like like Marc Raibert (Founder of Boston Dynamics), Fei-Fei Li (Chief Scientist of AI at Google, Director of Stanford’s AI lab), and Sebastian Thrun (Founder of Google X, Waymo, Kitty Hawk, and Udacity)!

Join us to leave your mark on the future of robotics, AI, and logistics!

About the Role

As a Robotics Support Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of keeping our robotic fulfillment system running at peak performance. You'll be part of a team responsible for ensuring steady and high throughput for our fleet of robots through expert diagnostics, troubleshooting, and collaboration with our operations and engineering teams. You'll act as the first line of support, guiding our operations team through critical issues and leveraging data to optimize system performance.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve issues within Nimble's fleet of order-fulfilling robots.
  • Alleviate operational issues by debugging Nimble's robotics and fulfillment software
  • Develop new observability tools to facilitate faster and easier mitigation of production issues.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation in collaboration with support and engineering teams, building a comprehensive guide for system operation and issue resolution.
  • Use a data-driven approach to help prioritize system improvements.
  • Provide timely support to operations teams to enhance system and robot metrics.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production environment supporting and improving complex robotics systems, or a minimum of 2 years of experience combined with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Robotics.
  • Strong technical curiosity and debugging skills, including the ability to read technical logs and interpret data.
  • Proficiency in using SQL to analyze production data.
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication and documentation.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Preference for hands-on experience with robotics fleet management and autonomous logistics.
  • Additional Details

  • This position requires weekend availability and offers two consecutive days off during the week.
  • Work location is in a warehouse environment with variable temperatures including cold, heat and humidity
  • Culture

We embrace challenges and strive to make the impossible possible each day. We’re not in this to do what’s easy or to be mediocre. We want to create something legendary and leave our mark on the world. We’re ambitious, we’re gritty, we’re humble and we’re relentlessly resourceful in pursuit of our goals. If this sounds like you then you might be a great fit!
